In recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness month, the DPW will be wearing t-shirts with yellow ribbon designs on Friday, Sep 5. We encourage everyone to join us and wear yellow on that day and throughout September to support the families who fight against childhood cancer.
This is especially personal to the DPW since a member of our Highway Department, Pat McDonnell’s son Cameron, is in the midst of battling cancer. 8-year old Cameron was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer. Cam has already beaten cancer once so this family knows how to battle this horrible disease. He has inspired many of us DPW and we hope that his story will inspire others in Hopkinton.
