WHAT Caring for the mental health of our older adults has never been more important than it is during the COVID-19 crisis. We all have to social distance to keep each other safe, but this isolation is making it difficult for seniors to stay engaged with family, friends, and their communities. That's why the virtual Senior Health & Wellness Fair for 2020 will focus on helping viewers manage their physical and mental health during the pandemic.
The 60-minute show will offer expertise, resources from local and state experts, as well as fun and entertainment. The show’s segments will include:
Keynote speaker Sandra Harris, State President of AARP Massachusetts on strategies to beat social isolation
Short workshops on at-home fitness, fraud prevention, and finding the right level of care
Overviews of community organizations and services that can help with on-demand transportation, fighting scams, and lifelong learning
Helplines and other resources-by-phone
