Hopkinton Hillers Indoor Track competes at MIAA Meet of Champions

New England Championships: We had 8 athletes compete this past weekend at the MIAA Meet of Champions, where the top track athletes from all MIAA divisions came together to find out who the best in MA is, and our HIllers had a great showing!

Shot Put
Loryn Canty placed 12th overall
2 Mile
Elyse Srodawa with a PR of 11:16:08 finished 8th overall in the 2 mile
Autumn Tumbleton finished 24th
55 M Hurdles
Sean Golembiewski placed 1st and is now officially the BEST IN THE STATE!!!
Drew Bialobrzeski, who placed 2nd at the State Championship, placed 18th
600 M
Luke Boothroyd making the podium in 2nd place!
4x400m Relay
Luke Boothroyd, Paul Litscher, Ruben Noroian, and Sean Golembiewski with the race of their careers place 2nd overall and SET A NEW SCHOOL RECORD with a time of 3:26:69!

Luke, Elyse, and Sean all qualify for the New England Championship this coming weekend. But with Nationals coming up just the next week, Elyse and Sean will take the weekend off. We’ll still be cheering on Luke in the 600m though!! (Saturday at Reggie Lewis, 10:30am)

Another fun event this week for track… MSTCA Indoor Individual Pentathlon - Athletes must compete in all 5 events: 55 m Hurdles, High Jump, Shot Put, Long Jump and distance - 800 m (girls) 1,000 m (boys). The Hillers are able to send three athletes from each team.
Girls: Shelby Jones, Josie Hopkins, and Keira O’Connor
Boys: Sean Golembiewski, Andrew Budden, and Declan Mick

Boys compete Wednesday 3/1, 3:30pm @ Reggie Lewis Track Center

Girls compete Thursday 3/2, 3:30pm @ Reggie Lewis Track Center
