Hopkinton High School student engineers were assigned the task of designing and creating a piece of equipment or apparatus that would benefit the Police or Fire department in Doug Scott's HHS class.

The students first had the opportunity to meet with Hopkinton first responders to find out what some of their needs or challenges were and then create and design a piece of equipment to help them in their challenging job of keeping the community safe.

The class recently hosted a showcase to show their inventions and determine who had the best designs. HCAM news was on the scene to talk with some of the young engineers.
