Senator Karen Splika will face a challenger from her hometown of Ashland in this year's election. Sarah Schultz, an Ashland High School graduate who attended UMass Amherst will officially kick off her campaign on Saturday, February 4 at 7PM at the American Legion hall in Ashland.
According to her press release, Schultz is running on three basic principles; 1) bringing diversity to a one-sided legislature, 2) assuring balance in the legislative process, and 3) acting as an independent and ethical voice for communities.
