Selectmen are scheduled to meet tonight, Tuesday, August 13 beginning at 6:30PM in Room 215 at Town Hall. The meeting is expected to adjourn at approximately 9:15PM. Of note on tonight's agenda is the introduction of several new town employees who will be officially introduced to the public and include the new Superintendent of Schools, Cathy MacLeod, the new Parks & Recreation Director Jennifer Floyd, the new Assistant Town Clerk, Brenda McCann and Hopkinton's newest firefighter Sarah Jordan.
There will also be a joint public hearing with the Planning Board to appoint two members to the Parks and Recreation Commission to fill the two open seats due to the recent resignations of Ken Driscoll and Brian Eberlin. Four applications for the two open seats have been submitted:
- Amy Markovitch
- Bill McRobert
- Kaite Towner
- Tim Kilduff
The appointments are for the remainder of the current terms which expire at the 2014 Town Election.
