Hiller Tennis Ties For 1st Place...

Hiller Girls Tennis swept previously unbeaten Medfield 5 - 0 on Monday to move into a tie for first place in the TVL. "The first time we met this season Medfield had won 4 - 1." said Coach Nancy Clark

The Varsity Baseball team improved to 8-3 (8-3 TVL) with a 9-5, come-from-behind victory at Medfield on Monday, May 7. Trailing 4-0 in the 4th inning, the Hillers rallied to tie the score at 4, only to see Medfield go back ahead 5-4 in the bottom of the 5th. In the top of the 6th, Junior shorstop Ryan Sullivan hit a 2-run homer on a 3-0 count to give the Hillers their first lead at 6-5. Hopkinton tacked on three insurance runs in the top of the 7th, highlighted by Senior centerfielder Alex Hulme's two-run single. Senior Tim Moberg threw five strong innings against a powerful Medfield lineup to earn his third win of the season, while fellow Senior Connor Farrell finished up with two scoreless innings to record his first save of the season. Senior rightfielder Mike Decina led the offense, reaching base four times and recording two hits. The Hillers return to action on Wednesday when they host Norton at 4:00 PM.

The Freshman Baseball team beat Medfield yesterday 4-2. Calvin Holland pitched six strong innings and had 9 strikeouts including the side with the bases loaded in the sixth. Alex Cohan came in for the save in the seventh. Drew Donohue went 2-3 with a double and a triple. Tim Jenis also went 2-3 with 3 stolen bases. Our record is 5-2-1.

The Varsity Softball Team beat medfield yesterday, 4-0. Nicole Mellor pitched a complete game shutout with 14 Ks. Kerri McBride hit a two-run single. The Lady Hillers are now 9-1 in the TVL, 9-2 overall.
