Library Accepting Returns & Curbside Pickup on a Limited Basis ~ Offering Fine Amnesty

By contributor,

We estimate that there are nearly 8,000 Hopkinton Library items out in the community waiting to be returned! Thank you for your patience as we have been working on plans to accept these items back into the library efficiently and safely. We are pleased to announce that we will now be accepting returns on a limited basis.

Starting Monday, June 29, through Thursday July 2, the book drop will be open for returns from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm each day. The book drop will be closed for returns for the 4th of July holiday starting Thursday July 2nd at 4:30 pm. Please access more important information here.

Offering Curbside Pickup

On June 25 and 26, staff will begin calling patrons who had items available on the hold shelf when we closed in March to arrange for them to pick up their items. These pickups will be scheduled during the week of June 29. Starting on Monday, July 6th, we will be launching curbside pickup for patrons with new holds requests.

You may request items for pickup by placing holds through the library's online catalog. Click here to watch a video showing you how to place a hold. If you cannot access the catalog, please either use the chat-a-librarian service available on our webpage, or call the library at 508-497-9777, between 10 am and 4:30 pm Monday-Friday. We will call you when your items are ready to arrange a time for pickup. More information here.

We anticipate a high volume of requests as we launch this service; please bear with us. We will work as quickly as we can to get your items to you!
