Hillers Down D-S

Alex Hulme's walkoff RBI single scored Andrew McMillan with the winning run in the bottom of the 8th inning to give the Varsity Baseball team (7-3 overall, TVL) a 5-4 victory over Dover-Sherborn on Thursday, May 4. Trailing 4-3 in the top of the 7th, reliever Connor Farrell worked out of a bases loaded, no outs jam, keeping the Hillers' deficit at just one run entering the bottom of the 7th. In the 7th, Mike Decina drew a leadoff walk.

Boys Track Hopkinton vs. Dover-Sherborn 5/3/12

From Coach Mike Donahue: A very close meet. Hopkinton held on by two points thanks to big performances by Ryan Webster ( first in long jump and 400m, 2nd in discus), Luke Moschini 1st in triple jump second in 200m, Adam Gately 2nd in javelin and high jump, Tim Bolick 1st in mile 2nd in 800m, Pat Levenson 1st in 2 mile 3rd in mile, and Derek Winshman 1st in 400m hurdles 3rd in high hurdles and long jump.

The Marathon Post Party

Winners Announced in Student Recipe Contest

The winners of the first ever Student Recipe Contest have been named. Nine students, representing three schools, and seven grades, submitted the winning entries and an accompanying essay question, “Why is healthy eating important to you?”

The Elmwood School winning entries included “Winter Worms”, a team effort by second grade students Kate Dion, Grace Joy, and Hannah Hutchins; and “Stuffed Shells” by third grader Geneva Sanga.

The Hopkins School winning entry for fourth grade was "Turkey chili burritos" by Sarah Wilme.

Hillers Clock the Clockers

The Varsity Baseball team improved to 6-3 (6-3 TVL) with a 9-3 win over Ashland on Wednesday, May 2. Sophomore lefty Nick Burns earned the complete game victory, striking out 11 and adding a solo home run at the plate. Ryan Sullivan led the offense with a home run, double, 3 runs scored, and 4 RBI. Alex Hulme and Andrew McMillan added two hits apiece, and Craig Levergood had a two run double.

State of the Schools - LIVE Tonight

State of the the Schools, an informative update from Superintendent Jonathan Landman and School Committee Chairman Jean Bertschmann,,just in time to help prepare residents for Town Meeting on Monday, May 7th, is airing live tonight on Comcast Channel 8 and Verizon Channel 30.

Lamb Files 1500 Signatures

In a press release dated May 2, Marty Lamb, Republican candidate for State Representative in the Eighth Middlesex District, announced that his team has collected over 1500 signatures for his campaign for the Massachusetts House; ten times the number of signatures required.

"I'm thrilled so many people signed my nomination papers and want me to run for State Representative. This shows our campaign to put people back to work, demand integrity and accountability at the State House, and control state spending has both grassroots support and momentum," said Lamb.
