While Town Hall and municipal buildings are physically closed to the public, we are open for business. Many transactions can be completed online, and we are available via phone and email to assist during regular business hours. A full Town Directory can be found here. A box at the front door of Town Hall may be used to drop off correspondence, applications, etc., and they may also be mailed or emailed. Parks, Playgrounds and Playing Fields are closed.
As of 11:00 a.m. on 5/6/20, Hopkinton’s Health Department is reporting 104 total confirmed
COVID-19 cases; 62 of those cases are active, with 32 recoveries and 10 deaths. ou can see historical tracking and updates on Hopkinton’s Community Impact Dashboard:: Information from Health Officials is that Massachusetts is in the tail of “the surge” (expected peak) period.
Massachusetts Face Covering Order - REMINDER
On Friday May 1, Governor Baker released an Order Requiring Face Coverings in Public Places
Where Social Distancing is Not Possible. The Order is effective as of Wednesday May 6. Read

Governor Eases Some Restrictions on “Non-Essential” Business - NEW UPDATE
Governor Baker has revised some restrictions for the operation of “non-essential” businesses,
allowing certain businesses to bring in a small number of employees to remotely fulfill online or
phone orders for delivery. Customers are not allowed to enter any business, and businesses
themselves must follow strict guidelines. More updates are expected in the next few days. Read

Massachusetts Department of Public Health COVID-19 Weekly Dashboard - NEW UPDATE
Published weekly on Wednesday, this COVID-19 dashboard presents data in an easy to interpret
way and enhances the information provided in the previous daily reports with trends and situational
insights into the epidemic. While this dashboard includes the same information from the daily
reports, it presents new visuals of data and displays trends over time. Click following link to download the

Stay safe, vote by early by mail - REMINDER
Early ballot applications are available at
https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/elepdf/2020-Municipal-Early-Ballot-Appli.... If you would
like to vote early, just fill out the Ballot application and then email to townclerk@hopkintonma.gov or
mail to 18 Main Street. The May Annual Town Election has been rescheduled for June 29th.

Community Contact Tracing Collaborative:
If someone tests positive for COVID-19, the Collaborative’s Contact Tracers will reach out by phone
to that person, and their close contacts, to slow the spread of the virus. Contact Tracers will make
sure residents are getting the medical attention and support they need during isolation and
quarantine. The caller ID will show the call is coming from “MA COVID Team”. Information shared
during the call is strictly confidential and is treated as private medical information. Contact tracers
WILL NOT ask for social security numbers or health insurance information. Please watch for

Parks, Playgrounds, Playing Fields, Basketball and Tennis Courts are closed. All Town open space
areas are closed for activities until further notice. Residents are asked to exercise, walk dogs and
enjoy other activities individually and not congregate. Fields, parks & courts should not be used for
pickup games of any kind. Hopkinton’s trail system and State Parks remain open, but when
encountering others, please respect social distancing guidelines.
Recycling Pickup:
Hopkinton residents that participate in curbside trash and recycling collection may place additional
recycling material at the curb for EL Harvey's normal curbside collection provided that the recycling
material is in a sturdy cart that can be grabbed and lifted by EL Harvey's mechanical arm that will
not crush under the arm's hydraulic pressure, and the sturdy cart is clearly marked RECYCLING.
