In an effort to improve communications, the Hopkinton School Committee is asking for your input in an on-line survey.

The purpose of this brief survey is to understand your preferred methods of communicating with the School Committee. We are interested in making improvements to how we collect information from you and how we share information with you and with the citizens of Hopkinton. Educate Hopkinton Formalizes its Structure and Applies for 501(c)(4) Status

Educate Hopkinton (EH) has been a civic group in Hopkinton since 2007, organized by an informal Steering Committee, operating a website and mass email list at minimal cost. When the group began it had only 80 subscribers on its email list, but the number has grown over the years and EH now has over 440 subscribers. Email subscriptions are free and available to all Hopkinton residents and business owners regardless of their political views.

School Council Representatives Needed for 2011-2012

Even though the school year is just ending, it’s not too early to start thinking about next year and how you can make a difference in your child’s education! The HPTA is currently seeking candidates for the School Councils for the 2011-2012 school year. Duties include: adopting goals for the school, identifying educational needs for students, reviewing the school’s budget, and formulating a school improvement plan.

Center School Principal Parson Leaving Hopkinton for Northborough

In a letter to parents, Center School Principal Jen Parson has announced that she has accepted the position of Principal at the Lincoln Street School in Northborough, MA. The letter is reproduced below.

Dear Center School Families,

I am writing to inform you that after much thought and deliberation, it is with bittersweet emotion that I have accepted the position of principal at the Lincoln Street School in Northborough.

Timlin Results

Congratulations to Drew Clark of Hopkinton for his first place finish in the overall 5K with a time of 16:37.9.
