Lamb Files 1500 Signatures

In a press release dated May 2, Marty Lamb, Republican candidate for State Representative in the Eighth Middlesex District, announced that his team has collected over 1500 signatures for his campaign for the Massachusetts House; ten times the number of signatures required.

"I'm thrilled so many people signed my nomination papers and want me to run for State Representative. This shows our campaign to put people back to work, demand integrity and accountability at the State House, and control state spending has both grassroots support and momentum," said Lamb.

Meet "Dark Tide" Author Stephen Puleo

On Wednesday, May 9 at 7PM, "Dark Tide" author Stephen Puleo will be in Hopkinton for a discussion of his book. The book discussion, arranged by the Hopkinton Public Library, will take place at the Hopkinton Senior Center and the host for the evening will be Board of Selectmen Chairman Todd Cestari. After the discussion, books will be available for purchase and signing.

Hopkinton Public Schools Publish Update to Strategic Plan

The Hopkinton Public Schools Strategic Plan was approved by the School Committee in September 2009. Since that time, the district has provided periodic updates on the progress towards attaining Plan goals. In a recent message to parents, Superintendent Landman announced that the plan has been recently updated, detailing progress over the 2011-2012 school year.

HCAM News Video Featured by Jay Leno

HCAM News is proud to announce that our feature story about Paul Annunziata and the donation of his 1975 Plymouth Duster to Jay Leno's Garage has been incorporated into a video by Jay Leno. Through a mutual friend, Paul was able to connect with Leno, who purchased his car and made a donation to McPherson College in his name. Paul's 1975 custom-built Duster now calls the Jay Leno Garage its home, and his story, told by HCAM News, is now part of Leno's introduction to the car's history.

BOS Agenda for Tuesday May 1

Hopkinton's Board of Selectmen is meeting on Tuesday, May 1 at 6:30PM in Room 215 at Town Hall. Included on the agenda is the continued discussion and review of the request by CJPM Development LLC that the Board endorse a Citizen's Petition asking Town Meeting to authorize the Board to petition the General Court for passage of a special law granting an additional package license to CJPM Development LLC at 22 South Street.

"A nice meet for many of our younger guys. Freshman Jake Benson won the long jump, took 2nd in the high hurdles and 3rd in the 400m hurdles. Freshman Derek Winshman took first in the 110 high hurdles, second in 400m hurdles and 3rd in the long jump. Sophomore Tim Towner won the triple jump and took 2nd in the high jump. Freshman Kyle Driscoll won the mile."
