Watch Now: Hillers Girls Varsity Soccer Prepares for 2021-2022 Season

Hillers Girls soccer finished the shortened 2020-2021 season with a very good record of 6 wins, 2 losses and 2 ties. This year they are hoping that they will be able to have a normal season and are getting ready to kick things off next week. This years 4 captains (Ava Perlov, Gabi Ciri, Riley Krattenmaker and Ashley Butler) bring some great experience to the table. The team will be led by 3rd year Head Coach, Tom Skiba.

The gathering will honor the memory of Charles Lowell, who served as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division.

All veterans are welcome to share in the camaraderie of fellow vets. In addition to great chow (including SOS) there will be remembrances of lost comrades, identifying those on "sick call," and a moment to recognize the 13 members of our military who were KIA while in support of the evacuation of Afghanistan.

Hopkinton Fire Chief, Stephen Slaman whom has served the Hopkinton Fire Department for 32 years and as Fire Chief for just over 5 years is now retired. The Fire Department hosted a retirement gathering with community members and former co-workers of Chief Slaman and a big turnout was in attendance to witness his final ride and day at Hopkinton FD. Deputy Chief, William Miller was voted in as the Hopkinton Fire Chief following Chief Slaman's retirement. View more in the video below!

Sweeney is an adorable low-rider looking to find her forever home! She'll make a fantastic companion for all kinds of outdoor adventures, though sunbathing seems to be her favorite. She's a true hound mix and loves to follow her nose on walks and go for rides in the car. She has a very sensible level of energy but is still an active young dog. Sweeney is looking for a home with dog-experienced adults who are committed to setting her up for success. We know she'll excel with training because of how smart and food-motivated she is!
