"Honoring the Spirit" from Hopkinton, MA to Quantico, VA

The “ Honoring the Spirit” painting and related material is on exhibit in the Leatherneck Gallery at the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, Virginia. The painting was scheduled to be on display for the month of February 2011. After viewing the painting, Museum officials expressed interest in extending the stay.

Opening Reception Today at CAA Postponed

The Opening Reception for the May Cause Discomfort exhibit at the Cultural Arts Alliance has been postponed due to construction issues at the farmhouse. All lgallery hours and the February 13th Opening Reception will be rescheduled.

ESL’s Wizard of Oz January 14, 15, and 16

Enter Stage Left Theater will be presenting The Wizard of Oz on January 14 at 7:00 p.m.; January 15 at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m.; and on January 16 at 2:00 p.m. All performances will be at the Hopkinton Middle School. This family classic, which is directed by Mary Scarlata-Rowe, will be performed by a cast of 115 children ranging in age from 4th to 8th grade. Tickets are $12 ($10 for children 12 and under) and will be available at the door or at www.enterstagelefttheater.org.

ESL’s Holiday Concert December 12

Enter Stage Left’s adult chorus, the Treble Makers; as well as Tone Deft, ESL’s high school/college a cappella troupe; and Tone Deft Jr., ESL’s middle school troupe; will present a Holiday Concert titled Celebrate the Season in Song on December 12 at 3:00 p.m. at the United Parish of Upton, One Central Square, Upton. Tickets are $10.00 for general admission. Refreshments will be served.

ESL Open Mike Night December 4th

ESL’s Open Mic Night on Saturday, December 4 will feature a holiday theme, led by host Kelly Grill. Come prepared to sing your favorite holiday song!

ESL’s Open Mic will again be held at its new venue, Ciao Time Restaurant, 28 Main Street in Hopkinton, which will offer appetizers and drinks. Singers and musicians can register to perform at 7:00 p.m., and the performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5.00 per person to listen or perform.

ESL’s Little Mermaid November 20 and 21

Enter Stage Left Theater will be presenting The Little Mermaid, performed by a cast ranging in age from preschool to third grade, on November 20 and 21 at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the Hopkinton High School. Tickets are $10 for adults; and $5 for children (ages 12 years and under) and Stage Door Members. Tickets are available at www.enterstagelefttheater.com.

ESL’s Open Mic to Feature Janet Feld on Nov. 6

Folk singer and songwriter Janet Feld will be the featured artist at ESL’s Open Mic Night on Saturday, November 6 with host Barbara Kessler. Feld has been performing her original songs on the coffeehouse circuit since 1986 and teaching music to people of all ages since 1988. Feld is returning to ESL’s Open Mic after sharing some of her heartfelt and humorous songs there last spring.
