Hopkinton Democrats are Called to Caucus!

Hopkinton Democrats will gather on Thursday 4/9 at Hopkinton Town Hall in room 215.
The purpose of our get-together will be to select Democratic candidates for Hopkinton boards such as the Board of Selectmen, the Planning Board, the School board, etc.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A MEMBER OF THE DEMOCRATIC TOWN COMMITTEE TO ATTEND, PARTICIPATE, VOTE, OR RUN FOR A TOWN BOARD.

The only requirement is that you be a registered Democrat.

Please join us. The caucus will convene at 7:30pm.

Treblemakers To Hold Trivia Night Fundraiser in Hopkinton

Enter Stage Left Theater’s (ESL) adult chorus group, the Treblemakers, is hosting a Trivia Night Contest at Cornell’s Irish Pub (229 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton). The fundraiser will take place Tuesday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. The cost to participate is $10 per person, with a max of five players per team. Cash prizes for top three finishers. 50/50 raffle tickets will be available at the event. To pre-register contact ESL at (508) 435-2114 or esltheater@comcast.net.

Enter Stage Left Theater (ESL) presents “Sondheim at the Movies: Songs from the Screen,” a musical revue featuring the film and television works of award-winning composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Written and directed by Mark DiCampo, the show will include songs from “Into the Woods,” “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” “West Side Story,” “Gypsy,” and “Dick Tracy.” The cast is comprised of high school actors from Hopkinton and adjoining towns. Performances are Thursday, April 30 through Saturday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m.

Africa Night at Fatima Shrine

The Xaverian Missionaries are offering the third annual Africa Night at Fatima Shrine in Holliston on Saturday, April 11 beginning at 7:00 PM.

This year the focus will be on the Ebola Crisis in West Africa. Come and hear the backstories to this terrible challenge to the people of Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.

The speaker will be Sr. Rosanne Rustemeyer, SSND, who served many years in Sierra Leone, West Africa and has recently returned to the USA. For more information, call 508-429-2144.

The Xaverian Missionaries at Fatima Shrine in Holliston are offering day retreats each month on themes for the celebration of Consecrated Life, called by Pope Francis, as well as celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Mission Document from Vatican II Ad Gentes. These retreats will take place at the Shrine on the Second Sunday of each Month (except May 3rd) giving those who come an opportunity to celebrate the many ways that Mission can be expressed and lived. Come to share the many Mission Stories of Faith and Service.
