Participation
The HCAM’s Facebook Photo Contest is open to everyone to vote but you must be a resident of Hopkinton, Massachusetts to submit. You may participate in the contest in two ways, by submitting photos, and by liking photos. Employees of HCAM, and their families, are not eligible to participate. People who submit photos may also like other people's photos. Photos submitted that are in compliance with the Contest Rules will be available on Facebook for viewing and liking. HCAM is not responsible for any unauthorized use of your photos by Facebook users.
Photo Submission Criteria
All photos must be consistent with the contest theme and in compliance with the Contest Rules. HCAM reserves the right to remove photos at any time that are not in compliance with the Contest Rules. We have the following limits on subject matter:
No objectionable content, such as alcohol, smoking, guns, violence, obscenities, or nudity.
No content that is defamatory to any group or individual and/or violates any law.
Winning
On February 15th, 2011 at 5 PM ET, the photo that received the most Likes will be declared the grand prize winner, and the photographer will receive a free Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera. The next three images with the highest Likes will receive their choice of an HCAM hat or t-shirt. HCAM reserves the right to declare a winner based on criteria other than that stated here.
Image Ownership
All digital images must be original work. Participants retain ownership rights to their photos. By submitting your photograph you grant HCAM an unlimited, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, nonexclusive right and license to use and display the image on any HCAM webpages or television channels, or any replacement or successor to such. HCAM will not pay compensation for your photograph or any use we may make of it. HCAM is not obligated to use your photograph and we may not notify you if we do not use it. By submitting your photograph you agree and represent to HCAM that you are the sole copyright owner of the photograph.
