Edward Matthew Barry, 60, of Upton passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer on February 14, 2022.
Born on August 27, 1961, Ed was the son of the late Edward and Corinne (Iadarola) Barry, He was a graduate of Hopkinton High School, and self employed. Ed was the personification of service to others.
Ed studied the art of Karate and mentored numerous students over a period of 40 years, earning the rank of 5th degree Black Belt. An accomplished Equestrian, and proficient in the intricacies of Farm Management, he was essential to farms all over New England. His aptitude for drumming spanned decades and was his true lifelong passion. From performing to instruction, he was one of the most respected musicians in the community.
Ed is survived by his loving sister, Corinne (Barry) Yannone and husband John of New Hampshire; his sister Theolinda Barry of Uxbridge, and his loving partner, Kelley McCauley of Upton.
Calling Hours will be on Sunday, February 20th from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford Ma.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 187 Hopedale St., in Hopedale, MA on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford.
