Hiller Boys Basketball and Boys Hockey get ready for big games!

Hopkinton Hillers Boys Basketball is fresh-off a 81-47 road-win over Holliston and stands at 3 and 2 on the season heading into Friday nights home-game with undefeated, 6 and 0 Westwood Wolverines. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30pm at the HHS Athletic Center.

Hopkinton is averaging a very impressive 71.4 PPG (Points Per Game) on the season, while giving up an average of 61.8 PPG. Westwood averages 62 PPG while giving up a very impressive average of only 43.8 PPG. Friday Night's game will put Hopkinton who is one of the top offenses in the TVL versus Westwood, who is the top defense in the TVL!

Westwood looks to stay undefeated Friday night following an impressive 48-39 win over a very-good Norwood team. Westwood has won all 6 games so far this season and 5 of those 6 games by 8 points or more!

On Saturday Jan 6th at 4pm, Hopkinton Hillers (5-1-1) meet up with Norwood (5-0-0) at the Skating Club of Boston East rink for a matchup that will determine 1st place in the TVL Large.

Hopkinton improved to (5-1-1) on Wednesday night (Jan 3rd) with an impressive 4-2 win over Medfield. In the win, Connor Merkle (FR), Jack Resnick (FR), Steven Leighton (JR) and James Hayward (SO) netted goals for the Hillers. Goaltender, Steven Jackson (JR) has been terrific in net for the Hillers and has played a major role in propelling the young Hillers to the top of the TVL Large. The Hillers have outscored their opponents during their first several games by an average of 3.5 to 2.2 goals.

Norwood picked up a 4-1 win Wednesday Night (Jan 3rd) over Westwood. Undefeated Norwood picked up their 5th straight win and has outscored their competition by an average of 4.2 goals to 1.5 goals. In Wednesday’s 4-1 win over Westwood, Jacob Sheehan (JR) netted a pair of goals, Jack Nychay (SR) netted a goal and an Assist and Ryan Valeri (JR) netted a goal. Other assists included, Mark Trahon (SO), Kevin Roach (SO) and TJ Martin (JR).

Norwood has won 3 of their last 4 meetings with Hopkinton and look to pick up another win at home on Saturday to take a strong-hold of 1st place in TVL Large.
