Meet Don Brown, this year's Hopkinton Education Foundation's Marathon Bib Winner! Don Brown, a resident of Hopkinton, will be running in this year's 2015 Boston Marathon on behalf of the Hopkinton Education Foundation. Don has committed to raising $5,000 for the Hopkinton Education Foundation! In addition to raising $5,000, Don will match any donation up to his personal commitment of $2,500.
Don Brown and his wife Sandy moved to Hopkinton with their 3 children 13 years ago for the school system's strong reputation. During Don's first year as a Hopkinton resident, he took his 3 children to watch the Marathon and found himself feeling "mesmerized" by the constant stream of runners and was eager to jump in and start running. Several years later, knowing how much he had a passion to run, his daughters challenged him to run a half marathon ... he's been hooked ever since!
Why run for the Hopkinton Education Foundation? - "The Hopkinton school system has provided the best education we ever could have hoped for..." says Don.
