Proceeds of this event go to help underwrite the following three projects:
1) Supporting our work and involvement with the youth and young adults in New England through the services provided by theGYM – Located in Holliston at Fatima Shrine. We hope this interaction will enable them to realize their God given gifts. To realize that these gifts (health, education, faith, skills) are given to them by God for the good of others. Prayer, contemplation, personal immersion, dialogue and service are all components of this program.
2) Providing care and attention for our elderly confreres, here in the USA, after a life spent in the service of others
3) Financing the opening of our new mission in Thailand. The diocese of Nakhon Sawan (The Heavenly City) located on the western part of the country bordering Myanmar. Population 8 million people mostly Buddhist. Catholics 16 thousand with 26 parishes. We have been asked to start a new mission near the border working mainly with native people as well as serving in one of the largest refugee camps in the area.
