Are you feeling the desire to help others, to give back? Volunteering offers an avenue for exercising your skills and talents and to perhaps develop some new skills. Volunteering has a positive effect on our attitudes and morale. The need to be needed is a primary motivator in our lives.

The Hopkinton Senior Center (28 Mayhew Street) offers many opportunities: Reception, Thrift Shop, Greeters, Computer Lab tutors, Lunch hosts, Waitstaff and Kitchen Assistants, outside gardening, greenhouse, special functions. We are also in need of drivers for local medical appointments.

Please stop in at the Senior Center to see what we are all about and pick up a Volunteer application. Let us know what area you are most interested in helping out. Shifts are usually 2-4 hours; this could be once a week, once a month or every other week - your choice. Or call/email Sue Stewart, Volunteer Coordinator at 508-497-9730 ext. 1618, or sstewart@hopkintonma.gov.
