Charter Commission Committee Volunteer Announcement

Pursuant to Town Charter provision 76

(“Periodic Charter Review”), the Town Clerk is
encouraging all residents who are interested in being considered as a member of the Charter
Commission Committee to apply now. The Town Clerk is announcing the start of the periodic
charter review process.

Please visit the following link to view the current Town Charter .
The committee will consist of seven members, as outlined below:
1. The Board of Selectmen will appoint one (1) member;
2. The School Committee will appoint one (1) member;
3. The Town Clerk will appoint one (1) member;
4. The Appropriations Committee will appoint two (2) members;
5. The Town Moderator will appoint two (2) members.

To apply, please visit the Town’s website and fill out the online volunteer form at:
http://www.hopkintonma.gov/home/about/hug . Interested parties may also visit the Town
Clerk’s Office in Town Hall to fill out an application in person or call the office to have staff
assist you in applying. The Town Clerk’s Office may be reached at 5084979710.
