The Hopkinton Health Department is committed to protecting everyone that lives, works or attends school in our community. We continue to work closely with and receive guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Public health as well as the Center for Disease Control regarding COVID-19. It is our mission to minimize the risk of transmission of respiratory illnesses like influenza or COVID-19 by educating the public.

We encourage special attention to hand-washing, covering coughs and sneezes with your elbow, and avoiding contact with anyone that may be sick. We also would like to encourage anyone that is sick to stay home from work or school. Frequently used surfaces should be cleaned and disinfected continuously throughout the time of use.

Please continue to educate yourselves with information regarding COVID-19 from credible sources, such as the CDC and MDPH websites. In an effort to reduce the risk of transmission to the community, we are asking that any residents, students, or staff in Hopkinton who are returning from areas of sustained COVID-19 transmission which currently include China, Iran, Italy, Japan, and South Korea immediately notify (via secure message or call) the Health Department for further instruction.
