Community Notice: Water System Status

By contributor,

After an unusually high number of water breaks this winter and with a very busy construction season upon us, the Water Department has instituted a new system status, notice system. At the top of our webpage you will see a simple Green, Yellow or Red system status. Green indicates there are no known issues. Yellow, indicates there is the potential for an issue as result of a main break, hydrant flow test, and flushing or construction issues. Red indicates there is a definite known issue and we will try to give as much detail and identify the potentially affected areas as best as possible. The Water department will be working with the Technology department to further enhance this page in the future with maps and other interactive information.

In addition, we continue to urge our residents and customers to sign up for our important news notices that will contain this information and will be sent directly to your e-mail. You can sign up here or follow us on Twitter @hopkintonwater
