Educate Hopkinton Fundraiser at Bertucci's

Educate Hopkinton (eHop) is pleased to announce the organization’s first fundraising event at Bertucci’s in Holliston on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 between 4-9. Come enjoy pizza with your friends and neighbors and support community education in Hopkinton. Bertucci’s will donate 15% of all purchases to Educate Hopkinton. Proceeds from the event will be used to sponsor the May Veteran’s Breakfast at the Hopkinton Senior Center as well as a campaign to increase awareness about the Annual Town Meeting.
“Educate Hopkinton’s mission is to provide accurate, timely, and relevant information to help Hopkinton voters understand town and school budget issues and make informed choices,” said Educate Hopkinton President Amy Ritterbusch, “Although there is a lot of awareness about town elections we feel that there is an opportunity to provide more information about Town Meeting. The money raised from this event will be used to advertise in town about Town Meeting as well as communicate the key issues.”

“Unfortunately, Town Meeting is often not well attended despite being such an important event in the governing of Hopkinton,” noted eHop Board Member Erin Graziano, “Our hope is that by reminding people about the event and communicating the key issues on the warrant, we will increase participation.”
