Golden Pond Assisted Living Executive Director, Katy Tavares announced today that Michelle Bassett, lead Home Health Aide at Golden Pond Assisted Living, received the Federation's award for best direct care at the annual awards dinner held Monday, May 12th at the Burlington Marriot Hotel. The affair was hosted by Kim Carrigan, a longtime anchorwoman for the Fox News, and co-host for WRKO AM 680’s morning business-radio broadcast, The Financial Exchange.

There were over 600 people in attendance at the dinner from Assisted Livings all over Massachusetts. Ms Bassett was chosen from among 72 nominees in the state. The coveted award is especially prized by the facility in that this is the first year that Golden Pond has taken part in the state wide competition. Ms Bassett, who has been an employee of Golden Pond for eighteen years, was nominated for her leadership, innovation and continuous drive to raise the standard for resident care. She was cited for preventing serious and irreversible damage of a resident through her keen assessment and her swift actions.
“We are all so proud of Michelle”, said Marilyn McLean Resident Care Director at Golden Pond. “She truly embodies the care and dedication we have for our residents here at Golden Pond.”
