Hillers Come Out on Top After Rain Delay

The Varsity Baseball team defeated Sharon at home on Friday, June 8,
7-2 in a Division 2 South Quarterfinal Game. Hopkinton and Sharon
picked the game up with the Hillers leading 3-1 in the bottom of the
3rd inning after it was postponed due to rain on Thursday. Sophomore
Nick Burns pitched the first three innings, allowing just one unearned
run and hitting a 2-run double. Senior Tim Moberg picked up his 6th
win of the season by throwing three shutout innings on Friday. Moberg
added two hits and and RBI, while Senior Jake Haroian was 2-3 with an
RBI and Junior Ryan Sullivan added an RBI double.

The Hillers advance to face top-seeded Dighton-Rehoboth on Saturday at noon in the Divison
2 South Semifinals at Brockton Rox Stadium.
