Container gardening is the practice of growing plants in containers such as pots, planters, window boxes, and hanging baskets, instead of planting them in the ground. The plants may include decorative flowers, cacti, edible plants such as herbs and vegetables, and small trees. There are numerous advantages to growing plants in containers, namely that movable plants gives more control over moisture, sunlight, and temperature. There is also less risk of weed problems and soil-borne disease.

Join us on Tuesday, March 17th for this presentation by Jeffery Doherty and learn how to create container gardens to beautify and enhance your home. Our general meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Hopkinton Public Library – Large Event Room, 13 Main St. The speaker portion is at 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. New members are welcome any time during our club year.
