Hopkinton High School needs host parents for its international student program. Next year will be the fourth year of the program. It has helped make our families, our school and Hopkinton more global and it funds extra high school monogramming, including the mandarin world language program.

Hosting is available to all adults with or without children living and/or working in Hopkinton. People host for a variety of reasons. Most want the cultural richness and human connection they give and receive by opening their homes and their lives to international teenagers.

We are looking for homes for students from Sweden, Italy, and China. They all are enthusiastic and have varied interests including soccer, swimming, tennis, music, skiing, track & field, sciences, cheer leading, movies, piano, arts, and Model UN. Most are seniors, will be here for a school year, and are quite independent. A monthly stipend of $700/per student is provided. If your family has an extra bedroom and might open it's heart to one or two of these friendly students please contact the coordinator Ann Northup for more information. She can tell you about the program, describe the individual students, explain the application process, and provide host family references.
