We need a permanent home. We at Project Just Because (PJB) have been privileged to
serve so many in need. Now WE have a need!

I started Project Just Because in my basement 24 years ago, when I recognized that local
families had unmet needs and desperately required a helping hand with food, comfort,
support, and emergency help. My grass roots, basement-born charity, operated by a handful
of staff and hundreds of devoted volunteers, has grown significantly. Last year alone, we served
approximately 40,000 people. We are currently raising money for a permanent home so our
clients and our communities will always know where they can find our help and support and we
can serve them with even greater fiscal responsibility.

Project Just Because provides food, toiletries, clothing, coats, blankets and other basic
necessities to individuals and families during extraordinary and demanding times. We
run several programs such as Back to School, Keep a Family Warm, Domestic Abuse and
Emergency Assistance, Cancer Care Packages, and more. We provide food assistance and run
the Hopkinton Food Pantry and the Gluten-Free Massachusetts Food Pantry. Additionally, last
year in response to the growing food insecurities in the state, we opened a statewide
Massachusetts Food Pantry.

We are a charity that gives from the heart. We help all people - all year long with dignity,
privacy and respect. We help the single mom who lost her job last year because she had to stay
home with her kids. We help the family that lost everything in a devastating fire. We help the
parents that are struggling to put food on their table. We help the child that needs a coat and
boots for winter. We help the sister who must relocate from a dangerous, abusive environment.
We help anyone who comes to our door.

The need for help skyrocketed in 2020 and continues to grow. After almost a quarter
century moving from lease to lease and location to location, we will have a permanent
home. Our new home will build on our “helping from the heart” legacy and provide a secure and
successful future of helping others - those who need it most - in our communities.
I invite you to join us.

Please help us continue our tradition of giving from the heart and donate now.
