Enter Stage Left Theater presents a children’s production of School House Rock Live, JR. at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts this July. Based on the Emmy Award winning Saturday morning educational cartoon series and pop cultural phenomenon, School House Rock Live, JR. is a fun show the entire family will enjoy. Directed by Mary Scarlata-Rowe. Performances are Friday, July 22 at 3 PM and 7 PM at the Hopkinton High School auditorium (90 Hayden Rowe St.). Tickets are $15 general admission, and $10 for students and seniors (60+), and can be purchased at the door or at www.hopartscenter.org.

The show follows Tom, a young schoolteacher, who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. Memorable songs, such as “Just a Bill,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly” and “Conjunction Junction” bring his lesson plans vividly to life.
