WELLESLEY HILLS, MASS. (December 28, 2018) – MassBay Community College is pleased to announce that registration is open for winter intersession courses. Winter intersession courses are two-week intensive courses offered for credit and non-credit at MassBay. This is a chance for high school students, area college students visiting on winter break and/or enrolled MassBay students to take courses in a short timeframe to help get ahead in their studies, earn college credits quickly, or get a step closer to graduation.

“Intercession is a wonderful opportunity for students to take care of general education requirements or pre-requisites for advanced coursework,” said MassBay Director of Admissions Alison McCarty.

Winter intersession courses start January 2, 2019 and classes will be held Monday – Friday for two-weeks at the Framingham and Wellesley Hills campuses. Courses that are available range from Drawing, Computers and Technology, Principles of Macroeconomics, Freshman English, Media and the Law, American Literature, Principles of Management, Contemporary Nutrition, Introduction to Psychology, Human Growth and Development, Introduction to Sociology, Beginning Spanish, Drugs and Society, and more. Interested students can find more information on the course offerings by visiting www.MassBay.edu/winter.

“I was able to take Introduction to Sociology during a winter session and it was a great way to get ahead in my classes and save money,” said Milford resident Charles Santamaria. “The thing I really liked about the accelerated course was I was able to take a class I needed and wanted to take in a short amount of time, while being able to really focus on my major STEM courses during the fall and spring semesters.”
