One Run for Boston Arrives in Hopkinton

Runners participating in the One Run for Boston, arrived in Hopkinton on Sunday, June 30 as the first ever non-stop, cross country running relay, which started in Los Angeles on Friday,June 7th, drew to a close as the runners headed for their final destination in Boston.

Several member of the Hopkinton Running Club ran the 6-mile leg from Upton to the Boston Marathon start line in Hopkinton and many others gathered at the start line to wait the arrival of the baton for the start of the next leg headed to Framingham. Each of the runners added their name to the banner that had traveled cross country and Dave McGillivray of the Boston Athletic Association was on hand to kick off the leg leaving from Hopkinton as the relay made its way into Boston.
