George Robinson, Bus Driver for the Hopkinton Senior Center received a Community Service Award at the BayPath Elder Services’ Annual meeting, for his contribution to the well being of elders in the town of Hopkinton.

George goes above and beyond the duties of transporting seniors in town. He keeps everyone laughing and smiling at the same time reciting the “Bus Rules”. He plans several Day Trips a month which include day cruises, museums, dinner theaters, seasonal events as well as shopping and antiquing trips.

When George is not driving the Senior bus, he is often found on his own time driving seniors to church; taking someone out to lunch; visiting those who are hospitalized or have been transitioned into long term facilities, or even taking a group on a spontaneous trip for ice cream. George makes everyone feel special, welcomed and loved. If he knows your birthday, expect to be serenaded with a Happy Birthday song.

The Senior Center and Council on Aging Board so appreciates all he does for those at the Center and those in the Hopkinton community.
