Rownak Hussain has advised me she will be retiring from her position as Library Director for the Town of Hopkinton effective March 11, 2016. Rownak will be relocating to spend some quality time with her family. She joined Hopkinton eleven (11) years ago and has contributed significantly to the quality of library services and resources in Town. Front and center, Rownak has been a tireless advocate for the Library Project and, over the years, has become the face of the library. Not only has Rownak been in tune with the pulse of this community’s needs, she has gracefully balanced those needs while supporting her staff to achieve high standards of customer service. One of her most significant accomplishments was facilitating the library’s transition from a private to a public entity. While I share with many the fondest of sentiments that Rownak is moving on to the next exciting phase of her personal life, I certainly will miss her genuine passion for the greater good. I wish her the very best in every opportunity this next chapter has in store for her.
