Senior Center Open House

The Senior Center will be open from 9:00 am to noon on four Saturdays in November especially for working seniors and baby boomers. The pool table,
games, cards, computer lab and library will be available. The Thrift Shop will be open with a book sale and jewelry. Coffee and muffins will be
served. See the full schedule below:

Saturday, Nov. 2
Quilting – Make a holiday table runner or embroidered towel 9:00 -noon
Plant Clinic – Refresh your houseplants (repotting, pruning etc.)
Chi Gong – try a relaxing exercise class 10:30-11:30

Nov. 9th at 10 a.m. – “Negotiating the Medicare Maze” - S.H.I.N.E. (Serving the Health Information Needs of
Seniors) Counselor Alice Rotfort will help you negotiate the complicated and often confusing world of original
Medicare, including enrollment periods, what it covers and what it doesn’t, Advantage plans, supplements and Part D
prescription plans. This is a must for those who will be going onto Medicare soon.

Nov. 16th at 10 a.m. - "Estate Planning" - Mary Kathleen Nealon, MBA, JD is an elder law and estate planning attorney with the firm Nealon and Nealon with offices in Hopkinton and Mashpee, MA. She is past president of the Massachusetts chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, current president of Baypath Elder Services, Inc and has presented nationally. This workshop will provide attendees with essential information needed to understand estate planning documents, long-term care, probate and non-probate assets. Discussion topics include wills and trusts and advanced medical directives..

Nov. 32rd at 10 a.m. - "Retirement Planning - Making Your Money Last" - Early financial planning is essential to maintain your quality of life into old age. Janice Bogasky will discuss ways to insure your financial health, pros and cons or annuities and long-term care insurance, and protecting your investments. Bring your questions. Janice is a Hopkinton resident and Financial Advisor with Baystate Financial Services.
