Town of Hopkinton Seeks a Full-Time Administrative Assistant/Billing Clerk

Under the general supervision of the DPW Director, the Administrative Assistant/Billing Clerk performs various activities and provides necessary administrative support to efficiently meet the needs of the DPW, including Water and Sewer Billing, Accounts Payable and Payroll.

This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties which involve daily contact with staff, other Town departments, customers, contractors, and residents. A high degree of confidentiality as well as excellent quality and commitment to customer service is paramount. This position is entrusted with the management of the daily operations and budget of the DPW.

Qualifications – Requires the equivalent to:
• High school diploma
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast paced office setting
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office products including MS Word and Excel
• Analytical, problem-solving, decision-making & time-management skills
• Excellent verbal and listening skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines under constant interruptions
• Superior customer service skills
Municipal experience, MUNIS experience and bookkeeping skills are preferred.

Hiring pay range: $18.89 to $21.00 depending on qualifications
