Town of Hopkinton Seeks a Full-Time Heavy Equipment Operator for its DPW Department

This position will work under the supervision of a Highway Manager. Operates a variety of motor driven vehicles and equipment including trucks with a rated capacity of more than 26,001 lbs. G.V.W. (Gross Vehicle Weight), tractors, road sweepers, etc. in the provision of public works services; performs all other related work as required.

Qualifications - Applicants must meet the following to be considered qualified for this position:
• Equivalent to High School diploma and three years full time experience operating light equipment and trucks in construction and maintenance work.
• Must be able to operate: heavy motor equipment as required such as backhoe, front end loader, street sweeper, sanders and plow, in accordance with department safety procedures.
• Must have or be able to obtain the following licenses: Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B; Hoisting Engineer License, Class 2B and a Class 1C or 4A.
Hiring Pay Range: $23.60 – $24.55 hourly
Shift: M-F, 6:30 am – 2:30 pm, on-call and overtime required
