WHITINSVILLE, MA – UniBank recently announced that a $5,000 donation has been made to the Hopkinton Middle School to support the “Sky’s the Limit Courtyard Project”: a grassroots community fundraising effort to transform the Hopkinton Middle School’s courtyard.
The school’s goal is to raise $275,000 which is 85% of the projected project costs. To date, more than $240,000 has been raised. Once completed, the courtyard will feature outdoor classroom amenities including a performance area and a flexible learning and gathering space. The courtyard will be used to engage students through hands-on learning and bring them together through integrated curriculum. In addition, the project has unified the school community and has taught students about goal setting, project management and philanthropy.
Hopkinton Middle School Principal Alan Keller commented, “We are extremely grateful for this very generous donation toward our Sky's the Limit project. As its name suggests--from the beginning, we have had a limitless vision for this space and have constantly been amazed by the remarkable generosity from Hopkinton. This gift from UniBank comes at such an opportune time for us as we are on the verge of opening our Courtyard to our students, staff and the community of Hopkinton.
