According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton July 18th through July 24th was 96.3 degrees, the lowest was 67.1 degrees. Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 80.7 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 70%, the peak was 96% while the lowest was 30%. Rain accumulated 0.25 inches last week.

Community Notice: No swimming at Hopkinton State Park until further notice

Hopkinton has received notice from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), who oversee Hopkinton State Park, that swimming at Hopkinton State park main and upper beaches will be closed until further notice based on BACTERIAL RESULTS OF SAMPLES COLLECTED ON 7/19/2022. Hopkinton State Park remains open to visitors.

Senate Passes Legislation to Promote Economic Growth and Give Residents Relief and Clean Energy Legislation

On Thursday, the Massachusetts State Senate passed a $4.57 billion spending package to promote economic development in the Commonwealth and give relief to residents facing the continued effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and economic turbulence. The bill includes a broad-based tax relief package that will result in permanently lower taxes for many households and hundreds of thousands of residents receiving rebates from the state. The bill targets investment to sectors such as health care, housing, early education, agriculture, and tourism, which have been impacted by economic uncertainty.
