Community Notice: Fire Flow Test Wednesday, April 22nd

Please be advised that a required fire flow test will take place next week on Wednesday, April 22nd, at approximately 8:30AM.Crews will be testing the fire pump system at Middle and High School. Because these tests will take place on main transmission lines, customers may notice some discoloration during and after the tests throughout town. Please avoid doing any laundry, dishwasher loads or other water use activities, during this time. Any discoloration that may occur will eventually dissipate. Please check your water before using it.

Town of Hopkinton Urges Runners to Stay Home on Patriots’ Day

With the announcement of the postponement of the 2020 Boston Marathon to Monday, September 14, the Hopkinton Select Board is strongly urging runners to refrain from coming to the start line in Hopkinton or attempting to run the marathon course on Monday, April 20.

Parking restrictions in downtown Hopkinton, around the Town Common, and anywhere else near the start line will be in place.

HCAM's "Hopkinton Hangout Hour" returned Wednesday, April 15th at 2pm! In the first half hour we talked with Marilyn Cozzens about cooking recipes, in the 2nd segment we talked with Head Coach, Tom Keane about Teaching and this years Hillers Basketball playoff run.

Our next edition of the Hopkinton Hangout Hour takes place on Thursday, April 16th at 2pm. In the first half hour we talk Marathon Masks with Tim Kilduff and Bob Dobinski and in the 2nd segment we talk with Kim Manning about Stress and Self Care.

Cheryl Perrault returns Friday 4-17 for an Online edition of Wake Up and Smell The Poetry and Meet Your Neighbor

This Friday night, April 17th 7:00-8:00 p.m., Cheryl Perreault plans to offer a blend of the two tv programs she hosts for HCAM TV (Wake up and Smell the Poetry and Meet Your Neighbor) by asking her two guests about their lives and their creative process and also inviting them to offer a mini-performance "house-concert style."

Perreault will be talking with singer-songwriter Peg Espinola about her life as a psychotherapist, an octogenarian newbie and a spunky, often witty singer-songwriter.

Roy D. Stratton, 95

Roy D. Stratton, 95, of Westborough and formerly of Hopkinton, passed away at Milford Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 from complications of Covid-19. Born in Ashland, he was the son of the late Doris W. (Bernard) and Alvin E. Stratton. He was the husband of 64 years to the late Mertice E. (MacKay) Stratton.
