Candidate Statement: Robert Evan Davis for Parks & Recreation Commission

My wife and I moved here with our two daughters in 2017. We picked Hopkinton because of the amazing town and wonderful school system. To say that we have been happy with our decision would be an understatement. My family and I have been overwhelmed with the welcoming nature of our town and strong sense of community. Because of that, I felt it was my duty to get involved and give back.

The Hopkinton Women's Club hosted the 32nd annual "Meet the Candidates Night". This year there are 5 contested races including: Board of Selectmen, Planning Board (2 year term), Commissioners of Parks & Recreation, Town Moderator and Commissioners of Trust Funds. Town Election will take place on Monday, May 20th at Hopkinton Middle School.

Friends of Whitehall Spring Clean-up May 4th 2019

The Friends of Whitehall ‘s 14 th spring lake and trail clean-up will be held on Sat.
May 4th 2019 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon, rain or shine. Please come to the boat
landing/parking lot at Whitehall State Park on Wood St. (Rte. 135) to sign in and
be assigned an area of the trail or shoreline to clean up debris and the refuse
from the winter weather. We will also clean up some of the roadsides near the

Senate Passes Bills on Non-Binary Gender License Option, Road Safety; Overrides Welfare Cap Veto

BOSTON —The Massachusetts State Senate on Thursday passed legislation allowing for a non-binary option for gender on drivers’ licenses and birth certificates, new requirements for cyclists and motorists that promote safety for everybody who uses the road, and a final effort to lift the so-called ‘Cap on Kids.’ All three bills passed with overwhelming bipartisan support.

BOSTON – On Tuesday, the Massachusetts Senate announced the members of its Revenue Working Group during a press conference in the newly renovated Reading Room, adjacent to the historic Senate Chamber in the State House. Immediately after the press event the Revenue Working Group convened its first meeting.

Video: Hillers Baseball and Softball both Grab Tuesday Wins

On Tuesday, April 23rd, Hiller softball defeated Norton 5 to 2. In addition to making a terrific diving catch, Katy Holly went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Run and a walk. Alyssa McIntyre went 2 for 3 at the plate with a pair of RBI's and a Run. Julianna Ceddia pitched 7 Innings and gave up only 2 Runs while striking out 3. The Hillers defeated Westwood the following day by a final score of 22 to 10 to improve to 6 and 1 on the season.
