The School Committee has chosen a name for the new Elementary School Building currently in progress at 129 Hayden Rowe St. They sent out the following announcement to be shared with the public: "At their meeting on March 16, 2017, the School Committee voted to name the new elementary school building Marathon Elementary School. The Committee would like to thank everyone who participated in the naming process for this exciting project."

The Hopkinton High School Art Exhibit is returning to the Center for the Arts. The Public Reception will take place March 30th 6-7pm at the HCA. Public Viewing will be available March 30th through April 11th.

Eleanor B. (Lary) Anderson, 86, of Canaan, New Hampshire, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Newton Wellesley Center for Alzheimer’s Care. Born in West Canaan, NH, she was the daughter of the late Eva Vifian and Harry Foster Sr. She was the wife of the late Sidney “Sonny” Lary Jr. (who passed away in 1985) and former wife of Philip Anderson Sr.

Because on Monday, April 3rd at 7:30 PM, Hopkinton's one and only Enter Stage Left Theater is holding Trivia Night!, a fundraiser to benefit Hopkinton's adult chorus, the Treblemakers.

Due to Tuesday’s snowstorm, the School Committee interviews with the two finalists for the position of Hopkinton Public Schools’ Director of Finance & Operations have been rescheduled as follows:

Hopkinton Public Library is hosting a Community Read! We invite everyone in town to join us in reading Hidden America by Jeanne Marie Laskas. All April we'll be running events connected to the book. Watch for more going on in the Children's and Teen rooms too! Copies of Hidden America are available at the library now.
