Video: Hillers Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer Opening Night VS Ashland

Hillers Boys Soccer picked up a win in their first game of the season as they shutout Ashland 4-0. Senior, Ben Fargiano and Sophomore, Michael Poovakad scored the two first half goals and then the Hillers added 2 more in the 2nd half, one off of a Duncan Schnur header and the other off of a Andrew Palleiko shot to run away with the victory. Hopkinton School Committee Opens Applications for "Athletic Fields Sub-Committee"

The Hopkinton School Committee is seeking applications for participation in an Athletic Fields Sub-Committee. The purpose of the Sub-Committee is to facilitate the development of a proposed athletic field master plan and make recommendations to the School Committee for any new capital projects. This will be a public committee and operate subject to the Open Meeting Law.

Hopkinton Historical Society to Honor Joe Colella

On Saturday October 1st at 7pm-9pm the Hopkinton Historical Society invites the public to come down for an open house. Refreshments will be provided by Marty's Fine Wines and the museum room will be dedicated to longtime Hopkinton resident, Joseph Colella. Colella passed away in December 2008 at the age of 87. Joe was a longtime member of the Hopkinton Historical Society and a beloved member of the community.

Robert Wayne Fairbanks, 79

Robert Wayne Fairbanks, 79, of Hopkinton, passed away September 12, 2016 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. Born in Canton, he was the son of the late Madeline (Martin) and Alfred Fairbanks. He was the husband of 54 years to Sandra (Johnson) Fairbanks of Hopkinton.

Hillers Football VS Medway on 9/16 moved to Medway High School

The Hopkinton Hillers second game of the season Friday September 16th VS Medway has been moved to Medway High School. The game is a home game for the Hillers but is being moved due to unplayable field conditions at Hopkinton High School.

Medway and Hopkinton kickoff at 7pm Friday September 16th at Medway High School.This is the 2nd home game of the season for the Hillers and 2nd game to be moved to Medway. The Hillers kicked off their season last Friday at Medway High School with a 16-14 loss vs Wayland in a great game.

Video: 4th Annual "Live 4 Evan Girardi Memorial 5k"

On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, the 4th annual Live 4 Evan 5k took place, the event is in honor of Evan Girardi, who was born with a congenital heart defect. Evan would face many challenges including heart surgery but according to friends and family, he always kept a good attitude and pushed forward. Evan passed away due to heart complications in 2010 but Evan's friends and family continue to remember him through the Live 4 Evan organization which serves to help families or people affected by Heart disease.

Public Invited to Hopkinton Area Land Trust Annual Meeting Sunday, Sept 18th.

The Hopkinton Area Land Trust invites the public to their annual meeting on Sunday, September 18 at 2 PM to 4PM at Doherty Hall located at the rear of the Masonic Temple.

To find out more information about the annual meeting or the Hopkinton Area Land Trust, you can visit their tent Saturday September 17th, at the annual Polyarts festival at the town common.

Hopkinton Water-Sewer Manager: Time for State Mandated Backflow Testing

It is once again time for State mandated backflow testing. Please be advised that Water Safety Services, who has been contracted by the town, will be sending out letters to those people who's backflow devices needs to be tested. The notice has their phone number and instructions for contacting them to set up the appointment. The test takes very little time and is required to protect your drinking water and the town's system. We thank you for your assistance in this important matter.
