2014 Sharon Timlin 5K/Family Fun day was another success!

By Tom Nappi, News Director

Thanks to the Angel Fund, Doctors have been provided well needed funds and resources in the battle against ALS. The Sharon Timlin Memorial 5K Race and family fun day took place to benefit the Angel Fund and the fight against ALS and once again it was another beautiful day and a fun time had by all at the Hopkinton Middle and High School.

The event featured the 5K Walk/Run, Kids 1 Mile Race, a dunk tank, live music, the 2004, 2007 and 2013 World Series Trophies, free Ice Cream from Ben & Jerry's and much more. Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Mike Timlin was there and talked about the event;

"It's grown from the first year, from about 3-500 runners to maxing out at about 15-18 hundred runners. The community is supportive of what we try to do, we're trying to knock out ALS." "It's been an amazing place to have it, Hopkinton welcomed us and they opened up this place, and it's continually grown every year."
