Book Sale this Weekend at Library

By Michelle Murdock, Freelance Writer

The Hopkinton Friends of the Library will be holding their semi-annual book sale this weekend, just in time for the holiday season. Beginning at 10am, the sale will run until 4pm on Saturday, November 20 and again on Sunday, November 21 from 11am to 3pm.

On Saturday at 9am, there will be a special preview for Friends Members only. You can join or renew your membership at the door. Sunday is Bag Sale Day where you can fill a brown paper bag full of books for just $5.

The book sale is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Friends and helps to fund programs at the library and other items such as museum passes. In addition to the Book Sale, the Friends will also be selling handmade Wiine Glass Charms, a set of 6 for $10. And don't miss the chance to win a full share to the CSA at Heirloom Harvest Community Farm in Westborough. Tickets are $20 or 3 for $50. The share was generously donated by Heirloom Harvest ($650 value). Tickets are available at the Book Sale and other Friends events or by email at
hoplibraryfriends@gmail.com.

Watch the video below as Friends President Susie Johnson and Nancy Baker Fowler talk about what's special at this year's sale.
