Bose Corporation Employees Volunteer in Hopkinton

By Stephanie Kane, News Producer

Every year, Bose Corporation reaches out to an area community for a day of giving back. And on a hot sunny day on September 12th, about 200 employees came to Hopkinton to volunteer their time to help refurbish and clean up the areas around several community organizations. Hopkinton was chosen due to its connection to the Boston Marathon.

Projects that were completed included painting and trimming trees at The Serenity House, lawn maintenance at the Senior Center, painting at the Respite Center, as well as trimming bushes and adding a new coat of paint to the front door at the library. Organizations who received services were grateful to the employees at Bose for volunteering their time in such a meaningful way.

For Board of Selectmen member Michelle Gates, the day was particularly special as she was able to represent the project as both a community member as well as a Bose employee.
