They sing, act, and even do some shimmying. And now thanks to a new class sponsored by the Hopkinton Center for the Arts at the Senior Center, this group of energetic seniors now have an outlet to shine onstage. The two hour class, along with some after school programs for teens, is being funded by a grant from the Foundation for MetroWest, an organization dedicated to supporting local non profits.
The group is preparing for a performance on May 10th, which will incorporate all of the different performing styles that they have been practicing. And although the class has met a couple times already, new participants are encouraged to join.
The class meets every Thursday at 9:30am at the Senior Center. Reporting for HCAM News, I'm Stephanie Kane.
