The 38th Annual Hopkinton Polyarts festival took place on Saturday, September 15. After a brief period of morning rain, the day could not have been any nicer for this long standing Hopkinton tradition which showcases local artists.

Whether you were looking for lunch, some apple crisp, some new jewelry or were beginning your Christmas shopping early, there was plenty to see and do. Hopkinton resident Kathy Curry was there with her painted cowbells and the Hopkinton Boosters were back with their fall line of Hiller attire. Hamburgers, hot dogs and sausages were provided by the Lions Club and Hopkinton's Boy Scout Troop 1 and others were raising money for Project Just Because. For dessert, the kids enjoyed the cotton candy and the Friends of the Library were busy serving their famous apple crisp.

If you went to shop, you had your choice of several jewelry vendors, belts, honey, sculptures by Michael Alfano, clothes for your American Girl doll, or maybe you stopped to have a caricature done. There were activities for the kids and entertainment for the whole family, and a chance to relax and enjoy the event that marks the beginning of the fall season in Hopkinton.
