On Saturday, November 13, the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts of Hopkinton will be collecting food for the Project Just Because Food Pantry to help local residents in need. Since the first Scouting for Food drive, the number of families who rely on the food pantry in Hopkinton has dramatically risen with even more families requiring assistance during the winter months. Your assistance is needed more than ever!
Please place your donated items, in plastic bags, near your mailbox by 10AM on Saturday, November 13. Scouts will be collecting donations in your neighborhood between 10AM and 2PM.
Frequently needed items include:
-canned meat (spam, hash)
-canned meals (beef stew)
-breakfast food for kids
-canned fruit
-juice bottles and boxes
-school snack items
-paper products
-laundry detergent
-toiletries (shampoo, deoderant)
-tooth paste and brushes
Please check labels to ensure that items have not exceeded their expiration date!
